I was drawn to Shiatsu, Acupressure and Acupuncture from a long term interest in studying body mechanics and the body’s ability to heal itself, from a martial arts background which I continue to study to gain deeper knowledge.
Graduating in 2017 as the youngest Shiatsu Practitioner from the Shiatsu College, I have been running Shiatsu and Acupressure treatments for a number of years and specialising with symptom management for Fibromyalgia, ME and long term pain, joint and connective tissue conditions.”

In 2018 she travelled to China for 3 weeks to study Tai Chi and Qigong and TCM at Long Tou Shan Tai Chi School and also received a series of Acupuncture treatments which greatly helped some previous injuries.

In 2020 she qualified as a Qigong Instructor and provides private and group lessons teaching Qigong including Shibashi set 1, which the group lessons are available to book under the book page or more information or requesting a private Qigong lesson can be found by emailing: cathynixonshiatsu@gmail.com 

In 2024 she Qualified as a Clinical Acupuncturist with 96% score on the written exam and is Rugby Borough Council licenced for Acupuncture and Electro Acupuncture and offers treatments in Bilton Rugby. She is a full FHT Registered Therapist, a Shiatsu Society member, and an Acupuncture-Acutherapy Council – AcuC member and is fully insured and certified.

Previously, with fellow Practitioners, she attended events practicing Shiatsu, with the most recent being the Will Adam’s Japanese festival in Gillingham, the Eastbourne Triathlon and Hastings Pride.
